Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly bought a house in Portugal (Image: Getty)
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's latest move could prove one particular thing about their relationship with the Royal Family, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly bought a "holiday home" somewhere in Portugal, where Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank have their own home in the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Melides.
While it's not known whether Eugenie inspired the Sussexes's decision to buy a property in Portugal, royal expert Jennie Bond claimed the move could be seen as bid for the Sussex children to have some type of link to their royal family.
She told OK!: "I think it perhaps suggests that they DO want their children to know at least some of their UK family. It will be good for Archie and Lilibet to spend time with their little cousins, and Eugenie will remain an important link between Harry and the rest of his family."
She added: "I don’t know quite why they feel they need to buy a place….especially given that Harry has complained about lack of money in the past…..rather than just stay with Jack and Eugenie or rent a place, but it suggests that they intend to spend more time on this side of the Atlantic. And that’s a positive move because it implies that the children won’t be solely immersed in American culture and will have a better understanding of their European roots."

Australia snubs Princess Diana in Sydney Opera House tribute to King Charles and Camilla
Australia is said to have snubbed the late Princess Diana during their Sydney Opera House tribute to mark King Charles and Queen Camilla's tour in the country.
The King and Queen arrived in Sydney on Friday to celebrate the country's people, culture and heritage, in what is Charles's first tour in Australia as its head of state.
To mark the royal visit, the iconic Sydney Opera House was lit up with a rolling four-minute projection of images of Charles and Camilla.
Friday's display featured pictures from the couple's previous visits to Australia.
But it failed to show any pictures of the late Princess of Wales from when she famously visited the country back in 1983.

King Charles's unusual items he always travels with - including bizarre breakfast box
King Charles is currently in Australia for his royal tour with Queen Camilla, however sources have claimed the monarch does not travel light.
While it comes as no surprise that the King, 77, will travel with his own supply of blood in case of medical emergencies, some items Charles takes with him on getaways will certainly raise eyebrows.
According to OK! Magazine, the King always travels with his own breakfast box full of organic produce.

Awkward moment Mike Tindall was quizzed about Prince Harry
Mike Tindall was once awkwardly quizzed about Prince Harry as the Royal Family geared up for their first Christmas without the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The former rugby professional opened up about his festive plans on an episode of his podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby - which he co-hosts with James Haskell and Alex Payne.
Filming the Christmas special of the podcast, Mike was dressed in a Santa hat and was wrapped in gold tinsel.

Royal Family's two-word verdict on why Meghan Markle 'wasn't right' for Prince Harry
The Royal Family reportedly shared a two-word verdict on why they believed Meghan Markle "wasn't right" for Prince Harry.
Speaking in their Netflix docuseries in 2022 'Harry & Meghan', the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reminisced back to her first-ever meeting with the Royal Family, with the prince stating that some Firm members appeared "incredibly impressed" with his choice of new girlfriend.
Prince Harry shared it was likely the fact he was dating an "American actress" that later clouded their judgement of Meghan.

Inside Prince William and Princess Kate's secret Scottish hideaway that nobody's ever seen
While many of the grand buildings and residences associated with the Royal Family exude opulence and grandeur, Tam-Na-Ghar stands out for its simplicity and is said to be the Prince and Princess of Wales's secret Scottish hideaway.
The three-bedroom cottage is located within the expansive Balmoral Estate which has been a royal residence since 1852 when it was purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Prince William has had access to his residence ever since he was left it by The Queen Mother when she passed away in 2002.
